Location, quietness, no traffic.
Felt it was more a 3.5 star than 5 star. Breakfast service was poor. Staff seemed stressed. Continental side of food was not replendished and was dried up.
The staff were excellent as was the food, the location was great, the room was spacious and the bathroom was beautiful.
the rooms were very nica and the staff very friendly and helpful
Set in Irelands Garden County, you've the best of nature at your finger tips. Fantastic setting, lovely staff, nice pool for kids.
bar food was delicious. bed v comfy, bath robes and slippers in room. When i complained to the front office manager she was ultra helpful and courteous.
too many children running around, no band in bar on the wednesday night even though hotel was full, children allowed in pool all hours, no restrictions, we were in a room that was adjoined to another one and could hear tv and people clearly from next room, two black hairs in the bath,
The little nooks and crannies in the seating area looked very inviting. The golf facilities looked good . Did not have time to visit gym or pool .
Staff generally did not have a warm or welcoming attitude from reception through to servers at breakfast. Bar staff in particular were quite abrupt and the atmorshpere in the main bar on Friday night was like a very busy pub in the city centre, not welcoming and relaxing. The room did not strike me as being deluxe - the decor was dated and the furniture had seen better days.
the location. a walk round the golf course was very pleasant. The bedroom was good sized and well furnished. Other facilities were good.
the food was not up to the standard which was expected. the breakfast had choice but the cooked breakfast (self service) was not warm enough and food containers were not topped up as quickly as needed e.g. two pieces of bacon in one container.
Attended a wedding there everything from start to finish was fab, first visit and now i plan to go for a weekend
it was a lovely place to stay staff very friendly
however i left an orange top in the wardrope up there and also a pair of pyjamas bottoms i recieved the pyjamas bottoms back i only stayed one night i couldnt believe that the top wasnt recovered cause i rang as soon as i was home v disappointed in that
The staff were exceptional. Actually the most friendly staff we have ever encountered. The suite was excellent - we were allocated this instead of the king room we had booked as a special upgrade from th hotel for our 30th wedding anniversary. A big thank you to everyone! The hotel was cosy yet roomy. It may need a little touching up here and there - all hotels get to that stage - but it was spotless and is highly recommended. The food was very nice with nothing to complain about. This is a special place that is well worth a visit. We will definitely return.
Everything was wonderful.
We had a wonderful stay at the Druids Glen Resort. Luxurious rooms and bathrooms. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Barbeque evening vey enjoyable with easy listening guitar/song in the background. Delicious breakfast. Staff super efficient and very friendly. Unfortunately did not have time to visit the Spa and Leisure Centre, next time. Will definitely be back.
The bed were great and very large, the swimming pool is very nice and it is very quiet.
